Saudi Arabia to host talks between United States and Ukraine in Jeddah at the behest of the Crown Prince

On the directive of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister – may God protect him – Saudi Arabia hosted talks between the United States and Ukraine in Jeddah today. The meeting was attended by His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, and His Excellency Dr. Musaed bin Mohammed Al-Aiban, the Minister of State and member of the Council of Ministers.

Representing the American side in the talks were the Secretary of State, Mr. Marco Rubio, and the National Security Advisor, Mr. Michael Waltz. On the Ukrainian side, they were represented by Mr. Andriy Yermak, the Director of the Ukrainian President’s Office, Mr. Andriy Sibeha, the Foreign Minister, and Mr. Rustam Amrov, the Defense Minister.

These discussions are part of Saudi Arabia’s efforts to resolve the crisis in Ukraine, thanks to its balanced relationships with various parties and its commitment to promoting global security and peace. The Kingdom believes in the importance of adhering to international laws and norms and views dialogue as the most successful means of resolving conflicts and bridging differences, thus contributing to international security and stability.
