Saudi Arabia’s Presidency of UN Women’s Commission Showcased in New York Exhibition Opening

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Wasel, inaugurated an exhibition titled “From Vision to Reality: Empowering Women in Saudi Arabia” in conjunction with the Kingdom’s presidency of the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women (CSW69). The exhibition, held at the United Nations headquarters in New York City, aims to highlight Saudi Arabia’s efforts to support and empower Saudi women in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030. It showcases the Kingdom’s significant achievements in various areas of women’s empowerment, emphasizing that empowering women is deeply rooted in Saudi society across multiple sectors such as education, health, employment, entrepreneurship, international representation, volunteering, and charitable work. These advancements are attributed to the wise leadership and support for women.
The exhibition features three main sections reflecting national pride, including Arabic calligraphy by exhibition visitors, a hospitality area distributing gifts crafted by Saudi artisans, and the finest Saudi dates and coffee. This showcase demonstrates the Kingdom’s steadfast commitment to empowering women and enhancing their role in sustainable development both domestically and internationally. It also exemplifies the remarkable progress made by Saudi Arabia in women’s empowerment in alignment with Saudi Vision 2030. This vision aims to create a supportive environment that encourages women’s participation in various sectors and contributes to overall development.
