The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance held an iftar dinner at the Ninety-Nine Dome Mosque in the city of Makassar in the South Sulawesi Province of Indonesia. The event was part of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ program to provide iftar meals for fasting individuals. The event was attended by the Governor of South Sulawesi Province, Andi Sudirman Sulaiman, high-level government officials, and the religious attaché at the Saudi Embassy in Jakarta, Sheikh Ahmed Al-Hazmi, along with around ten thousand fasting individuals.

The dinner was organized beautifully, with the city streets adorned with pictures of the Kingdom’s wise leadership and program logos. Meals were distributed to over 10,000 people with the help of 300 organizers.

Governor Andi Sudirman Sulaiman praised the Kingdom’s leadership role in extending goodwill and generosity to all Muslims during the blessed month of Ramadan. He emphasized that Saudi Arabia sets a fine example in serving Islam, Muslims, and Indonesia. Indonesia is among the first countries to benefit from Saudi Arabia’s humanitarian, social, and cultural programs, including iftar and dates distribution during Ramadan, as well as scholarship programs that have contributed to the graduation of scholars and preachers.
