Government and service entities in Medina city intensify efforts

Government and public service entities in charge of serving visitors to the Prophet’s Mosque have intensified their preparations and plans for the last ten days of Ramadan, aiming to provide the best services for the mosque’s visitors. The city of Madinah is experiencing a significant influx of visitors from within and outside the Kingdom to perform Taraweeh and Tahajjud prayers at the Prophet’s Mosque.
The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque has declared its readiness for these blessed days, deploying thousands of qualified personnel to monitor and oversee operations. They are ensuring an adequate number of cleaning staff to guarantee the best services for worshippers and visitors in and around the Prophet’s Mosque.
Various security sectors are working to ensure the safety of visitors and worshippers, offering humanitarian support and organizing the entry and exit of worshippers. They are managing the crowds both inside and outside the mosque, as well as regulating traffic flow on the roads leading to the Prophet’s Mosque for a smooth and safe arrival of worshippers.
The health cluster in Madinah has readied its personnel and healthcare facilities, including hospitals and health centers near the Prophet’s Mosque, to enhance medical services for guests and provide urgent care during the last ten days of Ramadan. The Municipality of Madinah emphasizes the importance of all municipal services, monitoring commercial establishments related to public health, maintaining and cleaning municipal facilities, ensuring infrastructure readiness, and field supervision of various municipal services.
Meanwhile, the Saudi Red Crescent Authority in Madinah has intensified its efforts to provide emergency medical services and ensure a prompt response to any urgent cases for visitors in general and those visiting the Prophet’s Mosque in particular. Their operational plan includes activating 10 operational sectors, with up to 90 ambulance units – comprising 54 ambulance vehicles, 20 rapid response teams of different types (motorcycles, helicopters, electric vehicles), and 16 golf carts.
In conclusion, all relevant authorities are working collaboratively to ensure the safety, comfort, and well-being of visitors during the last ten days of Ramadan at the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah.
