Registration Process Initiated for 208,137 Properties in “Eastern Province and Riyadh”

The General Authority of Real Estate has announced the commencement of visual registration of “207,885” real estate properties in “230” neighborhoods in the Eastern Region. This includes “139” neighborhoods in Al-Ahsa Governorate, “80” neighborhoods in Al-Qatif Governorate, “11” neighborhoods in Jubail City, and one real estate property in Dammam City. Additionally, “252” real estate properties in the Murat Governorate in Riyadh will also undergo registration, starting from 8 Shawwal 1446 AH, corresponding to April 6, 2025, until the end of the day on 15 Muharram 1447 AH, equivalent to July 10, 2025.
The authority has specified that the neighborhoods benefiting from the real estate registration in this phase include various neighborhoods in Al-Ahsa Governorate and Al-Qatif Governorate, as well as neighborhoods in Jubail City. The registration also covers the real estate area located between Abu Hadria Road, Dhahran Industrial District, and Makkah Road in Dammam City. The selection of neighborhoods was carried out based on specific criteria, with more areas and neighborhoods set to undergo visual registration for real estate in different regions of the Kingdom in the coming periods.
The initial registration of properties in these areas and neighborhoods will be accessible through the electronic real estate registry platform https://rer.sa or via service centers. It is important to note that the visual registration requires a legally compliant ownership deed to complete the registration process. Property owners in the designated areas are encouraged to ensure they have the necessary documentation ready for registration, with inquiries about the registration process available through official platforms of the authority or by contacting the customer service center on 199002.
Upon the designated registration start date, each registered real estate unit will receive a unique “real estate number” and a property registration deed. This deed will contain detailed information about the property, its description, condition, rights, and obligations, along with precise geospatial data to enhance infrastructure and sustainability in the real estate sector. The visual registration system aims to enhance the reliability of real estate transactions and promote transparency in the real estate sector.
