Minister of Human Resources Launches Seventh Edition of International Conference on Occupational Safety and Health

Minister of Human Resources and Social Development and Chairman of the National Council for Occupational Safety and Health, Eng. Ahmed bin Suleiman Al-Rajhi, announced the launch of the seventh edition of the Global Occupational Safety and Health Conference (GOSH7) today. The event gathered leaders from governments, the private sector, and academia from within and outside the Kingdom.
The international conference on occupational safety and health is being held over three days at the Four Seasons Hotel in the Riyadh Conference Center from May 4 to May 6, 2025. It serves as a platform to discuss the future of occupational safety and health, as well as the challenges and opportunities facing global labor markets.
GOSH7 aims to promote a culture of occupational safety and health by facilitating constructive dialogue on the latest trends and innovations, exploring best practices, and exchanging vital knowledge. The conference will focus on developing policies and preventive measures to support excellence in the field of occupational safety and health, in addition to highlighting the role of technology in improving the work environment and raising awareness of occupational safety and health.
In his remarks, the Minister of Human Resources and Social Development and Chairman of the National Council for Occupational Safety and Health stated: “The Kingdom is proud to host the seventh edition of GOSH7 in Riyadh, where we address crucial issues affecting work environments and work on developing exemplary frameworks.” He added that the conference has become an important annual event for occupational safety and health leaders, looking forward to making this edition the most comprehensive on an international level so far.
He emphasized that the GOSH7 conference represents a significant milestone in enhancing global dialogue on occupational safety and health, and continuing the hard work to improve compliance with established standards in this field at both regional and global levels. On his part, the Deputy Minister of Human Resources and Social Development for Labor and Vice Chairman of the National Council for Occupational Safety and Health, Dr. Abdullah bin Nasser Abuthnain, noted that strong and cohesive labor markets form the backbone of economies worldwide. With the evolution of work environments, close cooperation is necessary to address challenges, seize opportunities, and enhance the safety and health of work environments.
He added, “We look forward to welcoming our partners from around the world in Riyadh during the upcoming GOSH7 conference to discuss key issues facing global labor markets, drive economic prosperity, build safe, sustainable, and future-ready work environments.” The seventh edition of the GOSH7 conference will witness the launch of a global hackathon bringing together experts from around the world to develop innovative solutions that enhance occupational safety and health practices.
The hackathon aims to innovate and identify practical ideas that contribute to raising global standards of occupational safety and health.
