Authorities in the Holy Capital crack down on illegal dessert factory using expired ingredients.

The Municipality of the Holy Capital, in cooperation with the Ministry of Commerce, has seized an unauthorized sweets factory that was preparing and packaging sweets using expired raw materials before distributing them to four affiliated sales outlets. The inspection campaign resulted in the confiscation of 278 kilograms of unpackaged sweets and 620 kilograms of packaged sweets ready for distribution, as well as other food items, all of which were expired and unfit for human consumption.
The Municipality of the Holy Capital emphasized its commitment to enforcing regulations related to food safety, reaffirming its continuous inspection tours to detect any violations that threaten consumers’ health and take necessary regulatory actions against offenders. It urged citizens and residents to report any health violations through the unified complaints center at 940 or through the municipality’s electronic applications to ensure a safe and healthy food environment for everyone.
