Preparations Complete for Welcoming Worshippers on Night of Quran Completion at Prophet’s Mosque, Announces Ministry of Hajj and Umrah

The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque has completed its preparations to receive the expected influx of worshippers and visitors on the night of the completion of the recitation of the Quran at the Prophet’s Mosque tomorrow, Friday.

The Presidency has implemented a comprehensive field plan in coordination with security authorities to facilitate and assist visitors of the Prophet’s Mosque in performing their worship with ease, convenience, and peace of mind.

Efforts have been intensified in operational services such as readiness of prayer halls with carpets, cleaning services, sanitation, hygiene, fumigation, perfuming, providing Zamzam water for worshippers, environmental protection services, maintenance of facilities, toilets, prevention of negative phenomena, arrangement of cart services, surveillance system, and complaint management to achieve a high level of satisfaction with the services provided to beneficiaries.

The Presidency has allocated 161 cleaning vehicles for washing the floors at the Prophet’s Mosque, in addition to cleaning, washing, and sanitizing the mosque five times a day, and fumigating it four times a day. It has provided 27,000 prayer rugs, allocated new bathrooms in the western squares, developed sound systems in the Prophet’s Mosque, and equipped comprehensive service centers and a children’s hospitality center in the northern courtyard.

Regarding crowd management and spatial guidance services, the Presidency has doubled its efforts in preparing pathways inside and outside the Prophet’s Mosque to facilitate movement and ensure easy access for worshippers inside the mosque, its courtyards, and roof, according to a plan that ensures accommodating all worshippers without disrupting services, and facilitating dealing with emergency situations in coordination with security authorities at the Prophet’s Mosque.

The Presidency has taken into account the readiness of maintenance services for elevators, escalators, sound systems, lighting, air conditioning, and ventilation, in addition to safety systems, power sources, emergency readiness, and preparation for rainy conditions. It has also doubled its efforts in organizing and supporting volunteer teams in providing services to worshippers.
