The National Center for Meteorology has forecasted thunderstorms today in parts of the Al-Madinah Al-Munawarah, Al-Qassim, Hail, Al-Jawf, Northern Borders, and the northern parts of the Eastern Region. These storms are expected to bring moderate to heavy rainfall, leading to flash floods, accompanied by hail showers and active winds causing dust and sandstorms. Meanwhile, lighter to moderate rains are expected in parts of Riyadh, Makkah, Al-Baha, Asir, and Jazan.
The report also mentioned that the surface wind movement over the Red Sea will be northwesterly to northerly in the northern and central parts, and southeasterly to southwesterly in the southern part at a speed of 20-40 km/h. Wave heights are expected to range from one to two meters, with moderate wave conditions. On the other hand, the surface wind movement over the Arabian Gulf will be northeasterly to southeasterly at a speed of 15-35 km/h, with wave heights ranging from half a meter to one and a half meters, and moderate wave conditions.
