Customs Ports Record 1071 Seizures in One Week

A total of 1071 cases of confiscated items have been recorded by the Saudi Customs Authority in its continuous efforts to enhance security and protect society from prohibited goods of various types and forms. The seized items included 68 types of drugs such as hashish, cocaine, heroin, amphetamines, and others, in addition to 1018 prohibited materials. There were also 1519 types of tobacco and its derivatives, along with 33 types of financial amounts among the confiscated items.
The Saudi Customs Authority has reiterated its commitment to tightening customs control on the Kingdom’s imports and exports to safeguard the community and its protection. This is being achieved through continuous cooperation and coordination with all related parties.
In the meantime, the Authority has urged everyone to contribute to the fight against smuggling to protect the community and the national economy. They can do so by contacting the Authority through the designated security hotline “1910,” via email at “1910@zatca.gov.sa,” or the international number “009661910.” The Authority receives reports related to smuggling crimes and violations of the Unified Customs Law through these channels in complete confidentiality. Informants will also be rewarded financially if the information provided is accurate.
