King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam Introduces New Shipping Service

The General Authority of Ports, “Ports”, announced the addition of the new shipping service “MILAHA INTA GULF EXPRESS” by the company “Milaha” to King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam to enhance maritime connectivity between the kingdom and the world, and support national exports and imports.

This move is part of Ports’ focus on strengthening its strategic partnerships with major regional and international shipping lines to achieve international leadership, in line with the national strategic targets for transportation and logistics services to establish the kingdom’s position as a global logistics center and a hub connecting the three continents.

The new shipping service works to connect King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam with Umm Qasr Port in Iraq, Hamad Port in Qatar, Shuwaikh Port in Kuwait, Jebel Ali Port in the UAE, and Sohar Port in Oman, with a handling capacity of 1,015 standard containers.

It is worth noting that King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam is the kingdom’s main port on the Arabian Gulf, connected to the dry port in Riyadh by a railroad. It is also a key port through which goods from around the world pass to the eastern and central regions.
