The Islamic Development Bank Group has announced the holding of its annual meetings for the year 2025 in Algiers from May 19 to May 22, 2025. This year, the meetings, held under the theme “Economic Diversification, Enriching Lives,” will serve as a high-level platform for enhancing developmental cooperation and exchanging experiences. The Bank’s Board of Governors from 57 member countries, along with development partners, decision-makers, and private sector leaders, will convene to discuss ways to enhance comprehensive and sustainable development and address common economic challenges.
In addition to official meetings, this important event will include the Private Sector Forum of the Islamic Development Bank Group, high-level roundtable discussions, specialized side events, and knowledge-sharing sessions. The discussions will focus on key issues such as economic diversification, enhancing economic resilience, and supporting innovation as a key driver of development.
The Finance Minister of Algeria, Abdulkarim Boualzard, emphasized the great importance of this event for Algeria, as it provides an opportunity to strengthen its position on the international economic stage by showcasing the reforms undertaken and promoting the country’s qualifications in cooperation, investment, and sustainable development.
Dr. Mohamed Sulaiman Al-Jasser, the President of the Islamic Development Bank Group, explained that these meetings will be an opportunity to enhance partnerships and offer innovative solutions to drive sustainable development in member countries. It will allow everyone to work together to address urgent challenges and explore new prospects that serve communities and achieve shared development goals. In addition to high-level dialogues and discussions, space will be allocated for exhibitions and networking opportunities, showcasing successful development initiatives and institutional achievements that reflect the progress made by member countries.
