Supreme Court Urges Moon Sighting for Ramadan Tomorrow Evening

The Supreme Court has called on all Muslims in the Kingdom to look for the crescent moon of the holy month of Ramadan on the evening of Friday, 29 Ramadan, according to the Umm Al-Qura calendar which corresponds to 28 February 2025. This announcement was made following a previous decision by the Supreme Court stating that Friday, 1 Shaban, 1446, according to the Umm Al-Qura calendar which corresponds to 31 January 2025, marks the beginning of the Shaban month.
The Supreme Court urges individuals who spot the crescent moon either with the naked eye or through telescopes to report their sighting to the nearest court or contact the nearest center for assistance in reaching the closest court.
The Supreme Court hopes that those capable of moon sighting will take interest in this matter, join the committees formed in various regions for this purpose, and earn rewards by participating in the process to benefit all Muslims.
