King Salman Center for Relief Signs Partnership Agreement with UN Development Program

The King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Aid signed a cooperation agreement yesterday with the United Nations Development Programme for emergency relief in Gaza to provide clean water and environmental sanitation to one million people at a cost of $4.7 million. The agreement was signed during the fourth Riyadh International Humanitarian Forum.
The agreement was signed by the Center’s Deputy General Supervisor for Operations and Programs, Engineer Ahmed bin Ali Al-Bayez, and the UNDP’s Deputy Secretary-General and Assistant Director, Haoliang Xu. The project will involve providing water to displaced persons and vulnerable groups by purchasing and operating 5 water distribution tanks with a capacity of 10 cubic meters each, transporting 1,800 cubic meters of water daily to shelters and host communities using 36 water tanks, as well as distributing water storage containers including 23,232 buckets and 19,800 jerry cans to facilitate safe access to water.
