Israeli Occupation Forces’ Blocking of Aid Entry into Gaza Violates International Agreements and Laws

The Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, Mr. Jassem Mohammed Al-Bedaiwi, strongly condemned the Israeli occupation forces’ blocking of humanitarian aid from entering the Gaza Strip. He described this action as a blatant violation of international conventions and laws, particularly the International Humanitarian Law, which guarantees the provision of basic needs for civilians in conflict zones.
He emphasized that these illegal measures deepen the humanitarian crisis faced by the Palestinian people in Gaza, exacerbating their ongoing suffering as a result of the Israeli occupation forces’ dangerous actions. He called on the international community to intervene immediately and pressure the occupation forces to lift the unjust restrictions imposed on aid, ensuring the urgent delivery of relief to meet the basic needs of the Palestinian people, especially during the month of Ramadan.
The Secretary-General reiterated the Gulf Cooperation Council countries’ firm stance in supporting the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, including the establishment of their independent state within the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital, in accordance with relevant peace initiatives and international decisions.
