The Key to Happiness in Ramadan: Mindfulness, Caution, and Seizing the Generosity of the Benevolent and Gracious Lord

In today’s Friday sermon at the Grand Mosque, Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Awad Al-Juhani emphasized the importance of piety and obedience to Allah for all Muslims. He highlighted the significance of the upcoming month of Ramadan, a time of blessings and mercy, where fasting is rewarded abundantly and good deeds are multiplied. The Sheikh urged the faithful to engage in various acts of worship during this holy month, following the example set by Prophet Muhammad.
He reminded the congregation of the need to read the Quran, feed the hungry, give charity to the poor, and refrain from sinning. Sheikh Al-Juhani emphasized that Ramadan is a time to draw closer to Allah, seek forgiveness, and reap the rewards of devotion. He urged Muslims to seize the opportunity to worship fervently during this blessed month.
Similarly, Sheikh Ahmed bin Ali Al-Hudhaifi, in his sermon at the Prophet’s Mosque, encouraged believers to practice piety and righteousness as prescribed in the Quran. He urged them to be grateful for the blessings of Ramadan and to take advantage of the opportunities for spiritual growth during this month of fasting and prayer.
Both scholars underscored that Ramadan is a time to strengthen one’s faith, seek forgiveness, and engage in acts of worship that draw individuals closer to their Creator. They emphasized the importance of fasting as a means of demonstrating sincerity and devotion to Allah, highlighting the special status of fasting in the eyes of God.
In conclusion, both Sheikh Al-Juhani and Sheikh Al-Hudhaifi reminded the faithful that Ramadan is an opportunity for self-reflection, self-discipline, and spiritual growth. They called upon Muslims to observe the rituals of Ramadan with sincerity and humility, seeking to please Allah and cultivate virtues that will endure beyond the month of fasting. May this Ramadan be a time of renewal, reflection, and spiritual growth for all believers.
