Islamic Affairs Ministry Emphasizes Mosques’ Staff to Adhere to Guidelines During Last Ten Days of Ramadan and Prepare Mosques for Laylat al-Qadr.

The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance emphasized the importance of mosques’ staff adherence to the instructions and directives during the blessed month of Ramadan in the year 1446 AH, especially regarding the rules of i’tikaf and preparing mosques during the last ten days to ensure the highest standards of peace and tranquility for worshippers to make the most of these holy nights, in line with the ministry’s message and overall objectives.

The ministry urged mosque staff, including imams and muezzins, to fully commit to their duties, especially during these blessed ten days, stressing the need to follow the rules of i’tikaf in mosques and designated congregational mosques. It specified that the imam should be responsible for granting permission to those observing i’tikaf, ensuring their compliance with the rules, collecting their information, and preparing designated spaces for those interested in performing this tradition.

The Ministry of Islamic Affairs assigned around 6,000 male and female monitors to work around the clock, conducting field visits to ensure the implementation of all issued instructions by its staff and taking legal action against violators. It urged citizens and residents to report any shortcomings in the quality of services provided in mosques or violations of the directives regarding mosque organization during the blessed month of Ramadan directly through the unified call center at 1933, or by visiting its branches in the regions.
