Over 3.4 Million Pilgrims Flock to the Grand Mosque on the Night of the 27th of Ramadan

The Grand Mosque in Mecca witnessed a record number of worshippers and pilgrims yesterday, who flocked in large numbers to spend the remaining last ten nights of Ramadan in search of Laylat al-Qadr, hoping for forgiveness and mercy from their Lord. According to the General Presidency for the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque, the total number of visitors to the ancient House of God yesterday reached 3,441,600. The number of worshippers for Fajr prayer was 703,123, Dhuhr prayer had 614,307 worshippers, Asr prayer had 643,912 worshippers, Maghrib prayer had 740,129 worshippers, and both Isha and Taraweeh prayers had 740,129 worshippers.
It was reported that a total of 27,756 benefited from the wheelchairs available, and the number of pilgrims entering through the main gates was as follows: Gate 1, King Abdulaziz Gate, had 282,433 pilgrims, Gate 17, Bab al-Salam, had 33,211 pilgrims, Gate 33, Al-Hudaibiya, had 107,810 pilgrims, Gate 40, Al-Umrah, had 149,176 pilgrims, and Gate 79, King Fahd Gate, had 199,746 pilgrims, making the total number of pilgrims entering through the main gates 800,132.
