Total donations for the fifth edition of the National Charity Campaign surpass 1.8 billion riyals

The National Charitable Platform, “Ihsan”, has revealed that the total donations for this year’s national charitable campaign have reached over 1.8 billion through more than 19 million donation transactions during the month of Ramadan. This reflects the community’s interest in charitable work and shows the effectiveness of the platform’s governance.

The fifth edition of the national charitable campaign was launched with generous donations from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, totaling 70 million riyals. This inspiring start boosted competition among community members in doing good deeds and fostering a spirit of giving.

During Ramadan, the campaign operations center witnessed the signing of several memoranda of understanding and community agreements aimed at supporting the campaign by strengthening cooperation between the private sector and the Ihsan platform to support charitable works in the Kingdom. This has expanded avenues for giving, reinforced the culture of donation and social solidarity to support the platform’s various developmental and charitable activities.

Donors interacted with the endowment fund of Ihsan through quality contributions to sustain charitable and developmental projects and enhance their benefits. The platform continued its efforts during Ramadan by facilitating the digital payment of Zakat al-Fitr, receiving authorization requests through its website and application to deliver Zakat to beneficiaries in various regions of the Kingdom within its prescribed time frame. The total Zakat al-Fitr for this year reached 2.2 million, exceeding 45 million riyals.

These contributions demonstrate the social cohesion among individuals and entities in the Kingdom during Ramadan, which is a significant season for charity and kindness, offering a great opportunity for donors and givers. The campaign was initiated to maximize the impact of the charitable sector and empower it digitally during Ramadan, a time of widespread acts of kindness and charity, to promote the culture of donation and community cooperation in line with the goals of Vision 2030 to support non-profit sector efforts, community projects, and humanitarian cases, and enable the community to donate through official channels.

The National Charitable Platform, “Ihsan”, continues its efforts to receive donations online through its website or via the donors’ service center at 8001247000, to strengthen sustainable charitable initiatives in various fields.
