The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque revealed yesterday that the number of visitors and pilgrims to the two holy mosques during the month of Ramadan in the year 1446 AH reached 122,286,712 people. Among them were 16,558,241 pilgrims and 75,573,928 worshippers in the Grand Mosque, while the number of worshippers in the Prophet’s Mosque reached 30,154,543.
It is worth noting that the General Presidency for the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque utilizes advanced technology, using reader sensors, to monitor the numbers of worshippers and pilgrims visiting the ancient house at the main entrances of the Grand Mosque. This step aims to enhance operational efficiency by tracking flows and crowds, and effectively managing them in partnership with relevant authorities.
