Authorities in Mecca arrest 9 individuals at King Abdulaziz Royal Reserve for illegal exploitation of resources and unauthorized herding of camels.

Special forces of the Environmental Security apprehended citizens and 6 residents from Indian, Pakistani, and Yemeni nationalities for violating environmental regulations by exploiting deposits in the Mecca region. The necessary legal actions were taken against them.
The forces also confiscated 5 pieces of equipment used for excavating and transporting soil. Additionally, a citizen was arrested for violating environmental laws by grazing 12 camels in prohibited grazing areas within the King Abdulaziz Royal Reserve. Legal measures were enforced against him as well.
The forces highlighted that the penalty for grazing camels is a fine of 500 Saudi Riyals per animal. They urged reporting any incidents of environmental or wildlife violations by calling 911 in Mecca, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, or 999 and 996 in other regions of the Kingdom.
