Minister of Health Concludes Official Visit to Indonesia, Strengthening Cooperation with Leading Institutions in Both Countries
The Minister of Health, Fahd bin Abdulrahman Al Jalajel, concluded his official visit to Indonesia, which lasted for two days, with the aim of enhancing cooperation and exchanging expertise in the health sector.
During his visit to the Indonesian company “Bio Pharma”, a leading company in the manufacturing of vaccines and biotechnology, he was briefed on the latest technologies used in the development and production of essential vaccines.
He witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Arab Company for Pharmaceutical Preparations and “Bio Pharma” group to enhance cooperation in the fields of vaccine development, technology transfer, and exchanging expertise in pharmaceutical manufacturing, contributing to achieving regional and global health security in line with the national biotechnology strategy’s objectives seeking to localize vaccines and enhance innovation in biotechnologies.
As part of the kingdom’s interest in developing the nursing sector, he visited the Health Polytechnic College in Bandung, which offers an international program for training nurses, including pathways in the Arabic language, reflecting the rapid progress in health education in Indonesia.
He also met with a number of Indonesian ministers and senior officials, and memorandums of understanding were signed to enhance cooperation in the development of healthcare workforce, and improve the quality and efficiency of healthcare services through international partnerships.
